Hypnosis is the oldest and most misunderstood tool for accessing your personal power and to create change within. There is a big difference between Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy, Self Hypnosis and Stage Hypnotism. Hypnosis is a normal, natural process that we all go into at various times in the day and more prominently at night, when we fall asleep. We all cross over a point in consciousness called the Hypnoidal Point:  A shift in consciousness, when one is half awake and half asleep, relaxed and comfortable, safe and secure, aware yet not bothered. Hypnosis in the hands of a trained professional is absolutely safe. Hypnotherapy Hypnotherapists utilise this natural state of altered awareness (hypnosis) to facilitate change with appropriate commands to attain the therapeutic results that you want. Some refer to the shift in consciousness that the hypnotherapist facilitates, as induced somnambulism, or simply a "trance state" where the action of the subconscious mind is readily called and acted upon with specific professional suggestions and commands.   Trance States can be light medium or deep. Regardless, as a trained Hypnotherapist I am trained to get you to what level you need to attain the best results. Be sure to understand that you will never do anything against your own will or moral code of behaviour. We work together at all times in producing the desired result and change that you want. A trance state is not unconsciousness nor is it being under, asleep or out to it. The "hypnotic sleep" is when you are in a relaxed state of focused awareness. You are often consciously aware of your thoughts and surroundings. Your mind may be passive or active in where the mind drifts in thoughts, focus and awareness. However, you may still be surprised by the subconscious to conscious response you have to following the therapeutic suggestions and commands of your therapist. The best way to experience hypnosis is to relax, feel comfortable and trust the experience. The hypnotic state is best described as "altered awareness" The hypnotized person knows who and where they are, but is focused on the directives of the therapist. Sometimes after trance, a person may have foggy recollections of the content of the trance itself. This forgetting occurs in the same way that it does when you awake from a nights sleep. Often you are aware that you have been dreaming, but you can only remember bits of the dream and it rapidly fades from memory upon awakening fully. “Hypnotherapy is the act of creating an altered state of consciousness and the administering of therapy” The benefits to you are immense. Utilising Hypnotherapy allows you to let go of habits such as smoking or over eating,  Can improve motivation and allow you to let go of phobias or negative patterns or poor lifestyle choices.
