Hypnotherapy:
Hypnotherapists
Utilise this natural state of altered awareness
(hypnosis) to facilitate change with positive
commands to attain the therapeutic results that
you want. Some refer to the shift in
consciousness that the hypnotherapist
facilitates, as induced somnambulism, or
simply a "trance state" where the action of the
subconscious mind is readily called and acted
upon with specific professional suggestions
and commands.
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is the formation of two words
representing two modalities "Hypnos" and
"Therapy. Hypnos was a Greek God who
would put men to sleep, or rather in an altered
state of consciousness, and in a special secret
way commanded rest and healing .
So Hypnotherapy is:
"The act of creating an altered state of
consciousness, and the administering of
therapy"
What most people overlook is that the
hypnotic trance state in itself is highly
therapeutic to body mind and spirit.
Couple that with therapy skills and you
have a powerful tool for the resolution of habits
, problems and inner conflicts.
Trance States can be light medium or deep.
Regardless, as a trained Hypnotherapist I am
trained to what level you need to attain the
best results. Be sure to understand that you
will never do anything against your own will or
moral code of Behaviour. We work together at
all times in producing the desired result and
change that you want.
What does it feel like?
A trance state is not unconsciousness
nor is it being under , asleep or out to it.
The "hypnotic sleep" is when you are in
a relaxed state of focused awareness.
You are often consciously aware of your
thoughts and surroundings. Your mind
may be passive or active in where the
mind drifts in thoughts, focus and
awareness. However, you may still be
surprised by the subconscious to
conscious response you have to
following the therapeutic suggestions
and commands of your therapist. The
best way to experience hypnosis is to
relax, feel comfortable and trust the
experience. The hypnotic state is best
described as "altered awareness" The
hypnotized person knows who and
where they are, but is focused on the
directives of the therapist.
Sometimes after trance, a person may
have foggy recollections of the content
of the trance itself. This forgetting occurs
in the same way that it does when you
awake from a nights sleep.
Often you are aware that you have been
dreaming, but you can only remember
bits of the dream and it rapidly fades
from memory upon awakening fully.

What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is the oldest and most misunderstood tool for accessing your personal power
and to create change within. There is a big difference between Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy,
Self Hypnosis and Stage Hypnotism.
Hypnosis is a normal, natural process that we all go into at various times in the day and
more prominently at night, when we fall asleep. We all cross over a point in consciousness
called the Hypnoidal Point: A shift in consciousness, when one is half awake and half
asleep, relaxed and comfortable, safe and secure, aware yet not bothered. Hypnosis in the
hands of a trained professional is absolutely safe.
Depth of Trance :
Trance States can be light medium or deep.
Regardless, I am trained to know what level you
need to attain the best results. I communicates
with your "Conscious" and "Sub Conscious Mind"
and may utilise many techniques in inducing
altered states of consciousness to facilitate healing
and change.
Hypnotic Sessions :
Your session consists of filling in an initial intake
form, problem solving counselling & Hypnosis
(unless a contra-indication presents).
The Clinic Setting :
After the initial interview the client relaxes in an
easy recliner for comfort with bounce lights to relax
the eyes while the client drifts into trance. Pleasant
relaxing music is also played to enhance and
maximise the experience.
With Hypnotherapy it is best to have a course of
treatment. ( I will map this out to you on your first
session). An analogy is this: When one takes an
antibiotic you don't just take one tablet! and hope
to get better, you have to complete the whole
course of treatment. Hypnotherapists initiate the
tools for you to relax, change, and master your life.
The clinic rooms are located in a pleasant friendly
and relaxing atmosthere located at :
St Leonards - Sydney NSW
Lenox Head NSW
Or simply by Skype direct to your home
or office.
