Smoking: Something to die for:
On average 23,000 people die
each year from smoking related illness in Australia. That means, the cigarette
and tobacco companies lose over 23,000 customers a year.
In Australia, Smoking 25 cigarettes a day costs on
average and sometimes
more than $70.00 a week or $3,640.00 a year
Hypnosis Effectiveness:
What seems to be the world's biggest secret is how smoking is easily and naturally stopped with the use of hypnotherapy. In fact, the success rate of hypnosis is rather high. Something it seems, the Government health services and health funds here in Australia, don't want to acknowledge or look at. Hypnosis can assist you with smoking cessation on average within one to three sessions, using the Favaloro method.
Health Rebates:
Hypnotherapy is a drug-free therapy and in the long
term, can save the medical health insurance companies, over time, millions upon
millions of dollars in health and palliative care. Yet in Australia, not many
medical health insurance companies offer rebates or incentives for the service
of hypnotherapy. One has to ask why? In fact, if you belong to the medical
health fund, ask them if they offer rebates for hypnotherapy, remember it is
your money you pay them. At least they should offer you this invaluable service.
If they say no, then ask this to be changed. Or simply change to a fund that
offers you this modality.
Smoking is a highly dangerous pastime. Yet tobacco has used the image of vibrant healthy people to promote their product that if introduced on the market place today, would surely be banned
The Gene P53:
Scientists have found a link between smoking and Cancer. Smoking suppresses or damages the P53 gene in the body. The p53 gene's role is to help prevent cancer forming. In the governments campaign against smoking, strangely, hypnotherapy in NOT mentioned, I could not find any reference to hypnotherapy as an effective treatment for smoking cessation. In fact the government health services seem only interested in a medical-drug approach.
Nicotine:
In other words the medical treatment is Nicotine in the way of patches. Have the pharmaceuticals, doctors and government health services, inadvertently peddled Nicotine as a "safe" drug in giving up smoking? Nicotine may cause "other" problems. I have seen people who smoke five packs a week or more, who are also wearing the patches, inadvertently giving themselves excessive levels of nicotine. They come in "wired" with tremors and smoking. In fact an anti smoking product at the pharmacist boasts that Nicotine is more poisonous than arsenic or cyanide, while pushing their own solution, that being an anti-malaria agent that in itself may produce nasty side effects. With the program that I offer, in around three sessions of hypnotherapy, they have stopped smoking altogether.
Nicotine Vacinations:
Although not yet available, pharmaceuticals, drug companies and scientists are working on several possible vaccines and its variants that can block the effects of nicotine from reaching the brain. The vaccine will last a year! After that time, another vaccine would have to be administered and every year and so on. Vaccines work by activating the immune system so as to recognise and destroy an invading organism or molecule. Because the nicotine molecule on its own, is too small to be recognised by the immune system as an invader, it is piggy backed onto the protein molecule produced by the cholera bacteria. Up to four nicotine molecules are attached to each cholera protein molecule, making them large enough for the body's defences to recognise and hopfully destroy the invader, nicotine would not make it to the brain. The testing phase started in 2006 will be mass marketed around 2011. Long Term Side effects are unknown.
E Cigarettes:
Although not yet available, e cigarettes, (electronic cigarettes) deliver nicotine through an atomiser, which creates puffs of vapour to resemble cigarette smoke. Nicotine is a neuro toxin and all NRT should be used under medical supervision, but sadly are not. e-cigarette can be bought over the internet and a starter pack costs around $400. Both pharmaceutical companies and the tobacco industries are racing to put Nicotine Products in the marketplace. In a bid to capture the smoker and inevitably hook new would be smokers to Nicotine products.
Zyban:
In the mid 80's a drug called buproprion was issued as an antidepressant. It caused convulsions and seizures and many deaths. Initially it was pulled from the market place but reissued as a safe anti smoking drug called Zyban. It has caused thousands of adverse reactions and 18 deaths in Australia. By 2002 the drug manufacturer had reports of around 245 deaths from this drug worldwide.
Champix:
Varenicline (trade name Chantix in the USA and Champix in Europe, Mexico, Australia and Canada, manufactured usually in the form of varenicline tartrate) is a prescription medication used to treat smoking addiction. Its action is on the neurotransmitters Nicotine receptors in the brain. Known side effects include: Nausea, Headache, Vomiting, Flatulence, insomnia, Abnormal dreams, Dysgeusia (alteration in taste). It may overstrain the kidneys that deal with its chemical elimination from the body. Clinical trials were said to be two short to ascertain effectivness (12 weeks). Smokers have been warned not to drive or operate machinery or undertake any other potentially hazardous activities while on the drug. Chantix is currently under investigation in the USA by the US Food and Drug Administration after reports of changed behaviour, suicidal adulation, deaths by suicide and violent behaviour linked to the drug. Long Term Side effects on the brain body and personality are unknown. (various web sources).
Hypnotherapy:
Quit smoking easily with Hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is natural, safe effective, drug free, but above all it works. I know people who have tried everything and failed only to try the power of the personal program action package (Favaloro method) and found success. This could be the most important step you will ever take to better your health and transform your lifestyle.
